Pots on a wooden table
This pencil sketch was a replication of a still-life image of the same in acrylic colors. The challenge was for me to replicate the intricate shades achieved by the original artist in paint through the medium of pencils.
The background has a plastered wall with the chipped layers exposing a brick layout. I used A3 drawing paper and HB, 4B and 8B pencils to get the various shades. I used cotton to get the smudged effect and an eraser for an eraser-effect of light against dark shades. The first big achievement of mine in terms of some serious work worth looking at. Thanks to my drawing teacher for the guidance. Courtesy my wife, the picture has been framed.
